Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 10, 2026

1. What we collect

  • Account data: your email, name, and avatar — from magic-link signup or Google/Twitch OAuth.
  • Platform connections: OAuth tokens for platforms you connect (Twitch, Google; optionally Discord, Bluesky, X, YouTube, LinkedIn). Tokens are stored encrypted and used only to do what you asked — import your titles, post your announcements.
  • Content: your briefs, generated outputs, refinements, ratings and approvals, imported stream titles, and voice-training text.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer ID — never your card number.
  • Telemetry: product analytics (PostHog), error reports (Sentry), and server logs.

2. How we use it

  • To provide the service: generating content in your voice, posting where you ask.
  • To personalize: your approvals, edits, and thumbs-ups train your personal voice preferences.
  • To improve Blazonly for everyone: approved outputs can feed aggregated, anonymized style examples that inform suggestions for other users. You can opt out of this cross-user learning in Settings → Privacy — your personal voice learning keeps working either way.
  • To send transactional email (magic links, receipts, failed-post alerts) via Resend.
  • To answer support requests (Mailgun).

We do notsell your personal information, and we don't use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Who processes your data (sub-processors)

These providers process data on our behalf. Generation inputs (your brief and relevant voice-profile context) are sent to the AI providers to produce your outputs.

Plain-English note on DeepSeek: it is our primary AI provider and is based in the People's Republic of China. What it receives is what's needed to generate your content — your brief and style context — not your email, tokens, or billing data.

4. Legal bases

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies: we process your data to perform our contract with you (running the service), for legitimate interests (analytics, abuse prevention, improving the product), and with your consent where required (marketing email, cross-user corpus learning — which you can withdraw in Settings → Privacy).

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active, and your generation history until you delete it or your account. To delete your account, email support@blazonly.io from your account email — we remove your personal data within 30 days. Contributions already blended into aggregated, anonymized style statistics can't be reversed, because they no longer identify you.

6. Your rights

You can request access to or a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or opt out of marketing email at any time — email support@blazonly.io. California residents: we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in sessions (NextAuth) and security. PostHog analytics may set cookies or local storage to understand product usage. We don't use advertising cookies.

8. Children

Blazonly is not directed at children under 16. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 16, we'll delete it.

9. International transfers

Blazonly is hosted in the United States. The providers listed above may process data in other jurisdictions (see the region column). Wherever your data goes, this policy goes with it.

10. Changes and contact

We'll update this policy as the product evolves and note the date at the top; for material changes we'll notify you by email or in-app. Questions: support@blazonly.io. See also our Terms of Service.
